I was so excited today because I finally got my wide angle lens back: my Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 arrived after sitting more than 2 months at Jersey Camera with autofocus problems.

I could hardly wait to play with it again, but my excitement didn’t last too long… They didn’t include any letter so I wouldn’t know what they actually claim to have  done,  but the autofocus still doesn’t work… I played with it a little to make sure I’m right, and also because I missed it so much. I haven’t decided, yet, what to do about it.

I tried to recheck again on-line if there is supposed to be any kind of incompatibility between my D7000 and the Tokina 11-16mm but alas I didn’t find any fuming reviews, no one mentions this issue. It’s not that it’s useless without it, it simply bugs me because it did work for a few weeks after purchase and without me dropping it or harming it in any ways (I am very careful with my gear) it quit focusing.

Anyway, here are a few photos I shot as a test with it, I thought I share these, too.
